House moves are not only physically draining but also emotionally exerting. I still remember when I changed homes as a child, and needless to say, like most house moves, it was chaotic. Don’t worry, though. We have you covered. Here are a few tips to ensure that your house move is hassle free:

  1. Make a checklist

Now, I know this sounds pointless, but trust me writing down exactly what you need, what your major items are to be moved and any thoughts you have will help you carry out a house move with ease. Not only will you remember all the major items to move, but knowing that your documenting this process will help you stay calm. Trust me, you do not want to forget anything major.

  1. Reach Out to a Mover

  1. Time to De-clutter

When I say everything, I mean everything. Start planning in advance. Have a list ready in advance, even before booking your move. You really don’t want a leaky, wet mess on moving day.

Label everything. Every box filled should be lablled. You do not want to lose track of your things, and that’s very likely because all the boxes look the same, so this is the best way to prevent that from happening. Make sure all your important documents, files and paperwork are in a safe briefcase and box of their own. Having everything labelled will help you stay organised.
